Terms of Service
Effective February 1, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using theharvesthousetexas.org (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Nonprofit Status
The Harvest House is a Texas-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations may be tax-deductible as permitted by law. A receipt suitable for tax purposes will be issued for each qualifying contribution.
3. Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form
- Upload malware, viruses, or harmful content
- Attempt to access accounts, databases, or systems not authorized to you
- Use automated scraping or harvesting tools without permission
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
- Use the Site to harass, threaten, or defame any person or entity
4. Donations
- All donations are processed securely by Stripe in U.S. dollars.
- Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, email theharvesthousetexas@gmail.com within 30 days and we will review the request in good faith.
- Recurring donations (Seed Sowers Circle) may be canceled at any time by emailing us; cancellation takes effect with the next billing cycle.
- Sponsorship amounts are designated to the stated purpose (e.g., workforce tuition, transportation). If a designated need is met, we reserve the right to apply the gift to the next-closest mission area and will notify the donor if requested.
5. Applications and Submissions
You agree that any information submitted through applications, inquiries, or forms is accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge. Submission does not guarantee admission, partnership, employment, volunteer placement, or engagement. The Harvest House reserves the right to accept or decline any application at its sole discretion consistent with its mission and program capacity.
6. User Uploads
When you upload documents (IDs, resumes, transcripts), you represent that:
- You have the legal right to share the document
- The content does not infringe any third party's rights
- The content is not unlawful, defamatory, or obscene
You grant The Harvest House a limited, non-exclusive license to store and review uploaded content solely for the purpose of processing your application or inquiry.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including the name "The Harvest House," the slogan "From Seed to Stability," logos, text, images, and design — is owned by or licensed to The Harvest House and protected by U.S. copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission, except for fair-use sharing of individual pages for non-commercial purposes.
8. Third-Party Services
The Site integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments) and Google Workspace (email). Your use of those services is also governed by their respective terms. The Harvest House is not responsible for third-party service outages or errors.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and all services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Harvest House makes no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from harmful components.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Harvest House, its directors, officers, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Site. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) one hundred dollars ($100) or (b) the amount you donated in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Harvest House from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Site.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
13. Modifications
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
